What to expect
It might be easier to tell you what not to expect at this point. Untrained Christian is meant to be a written exploration of faith through the eyes of someone who has accepted Christ as their savior without the refined knowledge of Him. Basically, because I deeply want to know more I am going to study outloud, but my findings, thoughts, insights…none of them will be written in the scrolls. I want to write about faith/God/Jesus/Christianity/the Holy Spirit in a way that talks as little about me as I can pull off, while using what God has led me through to draw off of. I want this to be a shining of God’s light in a way that draws people nearer to Him because it looks and feels as real as the car in your driveway.
- Expect I will fail to deliver a message you want to hear every time.
- Expect I will fail to get it right every time.
- Expect me to use a less “religious” tone, if you will. Connecting our lives to the creator sometimes takes some really big thoughts…not necessarily big words…
- Expect to hear God speaking to you, but not through me-through that still, small voice inside of you that is telling you when it is your turn to go and find what He has for you around that corner you have been avoiding.
- Expect to hear about love a lot.
Goals
1. Speak truth
2. Glorify God
3. Represent those who want to know more but need reality more than the painted pictures
4. Show love
5. Make disciples
Purpose
You might be asking why this? Why now? I feel God is leading me to trust that He has a plan for this, for you. I believe He needs trained voices and untrained voices. He loves all His people, so how can we limit the giving of his love?
I am here to serve in the way He leads me to. The purpose is always yet to come, right? Believe you are a part of this purpose, because you are here reading this.
Finally, Jesus Is Salvation (IS). Jesus IS the purpose. His purpose was and IS for you; therefore so is mine.
